Hello everyone! hope you all are domingo fantastic!
I have had quite the week! full of surprises miracles and hard times...
Alright, we found this young family last week! they are epic! it was an interesting day when we found them we started the day with like 4 lessons planned and slowly as the day went on each and every lesson fell through. frustrated and unmotivated we start knocking doors, talking to people in the street, and looking for inactive members, No one answered, we kept going feeling frustrated but looking at the map trying to follow the promptings of the spirit, we went to this street that had an inactive member we knocked their door AND they didn't answer we started knocking the neighbor's doors asking if the new them and one of the neighbors answered the door and said he didn't really know his neighbors but we kept talking with him found out that he has been looking for ways to get closer to God for a long time but hasn't been satisfied with what he had found and wanted to learn more from us. He said "Well I'm busy right now...but you can come back Sunday afternoon," we wrote his phone number and address. When we came back on Sunday he was there! and introduced us to his wife and 2 children we got to know them and had a very powerful discussion about the Restoration! and they loved it! it was such a cool lesson the spirit was strong! and was a really powerful experience!
I really love the verses in D&C 50 that day "Wherefore, I the Lord ask you this question—unto what were ye ordained? To preach my gospel by the Spirit, even the Comforter which was sent forth to teach the truth. Wherefore, he that preacheth and he that receiveth, understand one another, and both are edified and rejoice together." This is our calling, to preach the gospel by the spirit and when we do so we and the people we teach are both edified and rejoice together! it is incredible and I am honored to have experienced it! I know that this is the work of God, it is an important work, and if we do it by the guiding power of the spirit He will guide us where we need to go, and what we need to say. I know that the Lord loves effort and blesses all of our efforts for a good cause! like he did this day that was hard all our lessons fell through but because we kept working and trying even though we did see success for hours on end the Lord did bless our efforts and we found a family that truly needs the gospel! Jesus loves you and will help you in what you truly need! this I know and I share in the sacred name of Jesus Christ amen.
