As I begin parenting my child(training my new comp) I can't help ponder in the love of a father, as I watch him teaching his first lessens getting over his fears to contact someone in the street I can't help but think of the joy our heavenly father has as he lovingly parents us, corrects our errors gives us loving counsels, also known as commandments, and watches us learn and grow, maturing, repenting, and coming back to his loving arms. Their is absolutely nothing that might apart us from His divine love(Romans 8:37-39)

It was a great week! we have seen some cool tender mercies and miricals, random guy gave us a ride to the church, prayed to find 2 people and then found 2 people, it rained all day Tuesday, members gave us sopaipillas, drank some more questionable juice and many more suffice it to day life is good and God is too! 

"By these things we know that there is a God in heaven, who is infinite and eternal, from everlasting to everlasting the same unchangeable God, the framer of heaven and earth, and all things which are in them; And that he created man, male and female, after his own image and in his own likeness, created he them; And gave unto them commandments that they should love and serve him, the only living and true God, and that he should be the only being whom they should worship." It's been a great few weeks!! life is going great! I am training again!! super fun! life is good we are working hard and having so much fun! my son is Named Elder Araujo

Our friend Eddy got baptized and it was super sweet! her sons were there! and the spirit was so strong!

"Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend."

Crazy few weeks! sorry it's been a while since I wrote an email....

Updates since my last email Ana, Facundo, Antonella and Camila got baptized and then I got emergency transfered to be comps with a dude that just came back out to the mission! Elder Chavez from Argentina! in the Calera 2 area. about 2 weeks ago a family was baptized they are super cool! their names are Rodrigo, Denise, and Maximiliano! 

We are teaching a Haitian Muslim! which has been super interesting his name is Abdurahman! and when he speaks its a crazy mixture of Kreol, Spanish and Arabic...I've been doing some creol duolingo which has been really fun! there are tons of Haitians here in Chile so it could be super useful 

This holy week I want to remind you the words of the prophet Joseph Smith.

"The fundamental principles of our religion are the testimony of the Apostles and Prophets, concerning Jesus Christ, that He died, was buried, and rose again the third day, and ascended into heaven; and all other things which pertain to our religion are only appendages to it”

That is what it all comes down to this week when Jesus humbled himself before the father and submitted to his will, suffering, hanging on the cross, dying for you and me and not only that but he also resurrected from the dead! and Thanks to him death(spiritual/physical) were conquered and we are given the opportunity to repent receive the remission of sins and be resurrected in the last days! God's plan is perfect and as we commemorate the events of this special week! I invite you to give thanks to God and Jesus! for the greatest of all gifts God's son and Christ's atonement! He is risen! he lives and loves!

We met up with someone ww had dropped from teaching a few weeks ago and she told us "I've been thinking about it and I really wanna get baptized before the end of February" super cool we are really happy for her and the desire she has! 

Antua 

Our friend antua has a baptismal date for this Saturday pray for him and his mom so that they both can have the faith to move forward!

Valentines day

dope we had Zone Confrence! and learned some great stuff from president! always good to hear from him! and a member gave me a cake! I was walking home with the cake in the dark and out of nowhere I twist my ankle in an absolutely hidden pothole! Everything went into slow motion as I lost control of my body and fell to the ground trying to save the cake but couldn't do anything and just watched as my cake and I fel face first into the pavement....devastating....I shamefully scooped up my poor cake and went home we didn't have candles so we stook matches in it and sang happy birthday! it was absolutely amazing! I truly loved every second! so very funny 

Spiritual thought:

In Romans 8:38-39 it says

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

firstly I testify that God's love and Christ's atonement is infinite! and that it can reach us wherever we might be! And if we love him we will "open the door" and let him into our lives! Jesus is willing, and ready to come into our lives and change us for the better, if we only "open the door" and let him in!

Great few weeks in the Lord's vineyard! 

Hermano Santos

Brother Santos is a great man with such a kind heart! He owns a fruit kiosk right in front of the church and every single day he is right there waiting for us it seems and he runs up to us gives thanks for the work we do! gives us the stickest fruit juice handshake and tells us to have a great day! 

    About 2 weeks ago we discovered that he had passed away from a heart attack in the market...As I was able to help with the program of the funeral I got to mediate a lot about his life! and the great man that he is! He truly was a great example of a man full of charity and truly understood and practiced the scripture become ye as little children. He was so kind and always looked for ways to serve others!

Sergio

We started teaching a very special little man that has Parkinson's. He is in a wheelchair and can't really talk but understands everything, and responds with yes or no hand signs, anyways the other day we were teaching him about the restoration and the doctrine of baptism and he got so excited and worked so hard to bare a testimony and say that he could feel the spirit and wants to go to church and be baptized it was incredible! Now we are just trying to figure out how to get him to church!

Ana María y fam

Mirical family we met them in the street on Friday and then taught them for the first time on Saturday and then the came to church on Sunday!! it made me so very happy they are great!! 

Paola 

Paola also came to church! she had told us that every time we goes into a church she gets a terrible feeling and cant stay has to just leave, we told her everything would be ok! And she came to church!! about 40 minutes late but she came!!! She walked into the Chapal had a panic attack and left running! we ran after her stopped calmed her and said a prayer with her then she went in and sat with us and enjoyed the meeting! God truely does hear our prayers and answer them!

some really great people we are teaching came to church yesterday! they are great and have so much potential!

Jaqueline 

This last week our friend Jaqueline informed us that she was gonna be gone on vacation the day of her baptism which was gonna be the 17th so we gave her 2 options 1 change the date to the 24th or 2 this week on the 11th! and she said she didn't wanna wait any longer the sooner the better! so we started visiting her everyday last week and yesterday she was able to get baptized! It was a crazy busy day yesterday we got the church early to fill the baptismal font and we left ir filling in the middle of sacrement meeting one of the brothers from the branch called us over and said the baptismal font was overflowing! we ran downstairs to shut it off! we got there shut it off and drained it a little! and stopped draining thinking all was well we went back to sacrement meeting, and enjoyed to classes after all that we had the baptismal service and got to the part of the baptism and when we went in and the font had drained a lot more...there was only about a foot and half of water! Hurriedly I turned on the water on full blast hot and cold! and we had to wait for it to fill back up! we had them sing some hymns while we waited and it all turned out just great! we finished the service and talked with some of the 6 non members that were there for the baptism and they all loved it!! Macarena said I felt so good! I just had such a strong feeling in my chest that I can't explain! we explained it was the Holy Ghost! and that she too could get baptized she got really excited and we did too! the work is going forward God has his hand in the work and miricals keep happening!

"Jesus is a God of miricals, nothing is at all imposible to him. I know this of all his miricals the most incredible must be the mirical that rescues me!" 

I testify that Jesus is a God of miricals! he preforms miricals! and the infinite mirical the most bestest most greatest mirical of them all is His atonement! it is the most important part! really our only hope is through Jesus Christ and his atonement! there is no other way or hope! Jesus has provided the way! and all of us can be saved if we repent and come unto him!

Golly jeepers what a week! 

some crazy stuff happened we had Zone Conference, district council, exchanges and a whole bunch of missionary work! Epic! 

Soccer activity 

We had a sick soccer activity this week!! invited a whole bunch of people and there ended up showing up a whole bunch we had about 15 nonmembers and 2 members!! which was sick!! had a ton of fun! It was sunshine and daisies until about halfway through our spiritual thought out of nowhere two of our dudes just started yelling and cursing each other out! almost starting throwing fists, luckily we got them calmed down before fists were thrown...decided to just end with a prayer so everyone could be leaving feeling at least a little bit of the spirit!

Familia Rivas Espinoza 

We have this absolutely amazing familia in teaching!! that have a baptismal date for this Saturday, but need many prayers! they really are a great family!! Please pray for them! 

Talk with everyone 

This week I and my companion put in practice a principle in Preach My Gospel called "Talk with everyone", beforehand I thought I talked with many people knocked a few doors and had some street contacts in between lessons but this last week me and my companion made it a challenge to talk to absolutely everyone! we made it kind of a game to try and talk with every single person on the street knock many more doors and really just tried to share the gospel with every single person!! it was incredible and we say so many miricals from it! and we were able to help so many more people! 

It has helped me understand the scripture in Mosiah 28:3 which says "Now they were desirous that salvation should be declared to every creature, for they could not bear that any human soul should perish; yea, even the very thoughts that any soul should endure endless torment did cause them to quake and tremble."  I know of a surety that every single person is a loved child of God and that if they so choose to accept His gospel they will have the opportunity to obtain an eternally joyess life! Every single person needs this gospel! and I too am desirous that everyone might receive the true restored gospel of Jesus Christ! Christ lives and loves!
