Hello!
today is transfers... I'M STAYING! I'm excited! we have a family that are prepared that we will hopefully start teaching this week. the couple, t and J, are a referral form grandma D. they have a son that was hit by a car a 3 years ago and is in a semi comma. they know it is only because of God that he is still with them. it should be great!
its so true that as soon as someone moves you just think that they should stay just how you last remember them. that's how i feel about Simeon and Debbie. they shouldn't have grown up so much. they are already fasting! that's so cool. their is so much power in fasting. we taught ch and d about fasting and prayer on Friday and they accepted the invitation to fast on Sunday to get a shift change at work so they can begin attending church each week. we joined them in their fast. they are so sincere and have great desires to be involved in the church. they realize that their children need to be raised in a church. we are continuing to pray for them.
this week we had to drop g. it was hard. we have had so many spiritual experiences. she is probably the most spiritually sensitive person I've met. but she wasn't willing to keep commitments. we visited her and helped her understand our purpose and that with her not keeping commitments we would have to stop teaching her. she understands now and knows that we are happy to come over as soon as she is willing to do what we ask.
Dad i met one of your cousins yesterday! Beth Larson Riddler. she said that she was uncle Rubens daughter. she said that she had been down to manti for some kind of family reunion back, before you got married. they are moving into the ward from Washington D.C.
Hope all is well out west!
love ya,
Elder Olsen
