Hola!
It was so great to be able to talk to all of you yesterday. i love you all so much! and thank you for being such a great support to me. i can at times feel your prayers thank you for them. the power of prayer is real!
Just this last week we went to Sa ( a woman from Trinadad we have been teaching for quite a while) house, we have been going over a couple times a week when we first started teaching her we had some really spiritual experiences. but lately they have seemed to not have the spirit as powerfully. so we had been wondering what we needed to do to help her feel the spirit. we decided that we were going to read the BoM with her but first start by kneeling in prayer and asking for the spirit to be there. so when we arrived Saturday night we went in and as we began to pray one of her sons friends came in and interrupted the prayer and then we continued to pray and then her 14 yr old son came in and also interrupted the prayer. once we finally were able to ask for the spirit to be there we we finished the prayer and just knelt their and the spirit filled the room. It was awesome, we didn't really need to say anything. after a couple minutes of silence we began to read in moroni 7. this experience helped me realize how strongly satan didn't want the spirit there but as we, me elder mcclatchy, and sa.) excercised our faith through diligent prayer we were able to have a powerful spiritual experience. God blesses us so much, and wants us to progress so badly but it ultimately comes down to us to whether we have the faith of not. one thing that has helped me is when elder Bednar said that"faith is a gift Not a muscle" we have faith or we don't. God wants us to use the faith that he has given us and we do that through trusting Him and though acting on our faith. the church is true God loves us and wants us to become the best! and he will get us there through the grace of the saviors atonement.
